Clay Characters (Ages 6 to 8)

June 18, 2018 - 10:30 am - 12:00 pm

In summer 2018, the Santa Paula Art Museum will launch a new Studio Art Program in its newly renovated Cole Creativity Center for children, teens, and adults!

The Summer Studio Art Program for children will introduce various materials, concepts, and techniques designed to challenge a child’s imagination and ability while providing opportunities for playful exploration. In our week-long “Clay Characters” course, students will create a collection of animated characters using different ceramic techniques. They’ll learn how to make shapes, spots, patterns, and more with clay to give their characters special powers!

This course is for children aged 6 to 8. Children’s courses are organized by age group and limited to 15 students per class to allow for more individualized instruction. Each week-long course meets for 90 minutes on five consecutive days for a total cost of $85.00 per week. “Clay Characters” is offered Monday, June 18, 2018, through Friday, June 22, 2018, from 10:30am to 12pm each day.
